Value Life, Value Family

I am Pro-Life and Pro-Family.

As a father, husband, son, and brother, I place a strong emphasis on family. I will champion policies that promote strong families.

We all have a heightened awareness due to Covid-19. We all have family members with underlying medical conditions which classifies them as high risk. I care deeply about protecting these individuals; that's why I will support policies that protect the most vulnerable.

Those most at risk should be given the ability to work from home by choice and without penalization.  We should protect their livelihoods by directing resources to them, like delivery of groceries and medications to their home.

Education and Worker Training

From our K-12 education system to our Community Colleges and Universities, Michigan MUST do better. Access to good education for all Americans is the foundation that will allow the next generation to raise a family, contribute to their community, and make a better America.

We must provide educational opportunities for those under 18 years old. Every child is different, and therefore has different needs. Each individual learns at a different pace, thrives in a different environment, and excels through different methods. Parents and educators must collaborate in order to make educational choices that are in the best interest of their children.

To promote success for High School students, we must seize the opportunity to integrate vocational training. Prior to Covid-19, many good-paying jobs went unfilled because of a lack of skilled workers. When our economy returns it will be stronger than ever, and as a result the need for technical skills will be greater than ever.

Our University system is also an important component of our educational system.  From the auto industry to tech and healthcare, we need to facilitate a strong higher education system to compete on the world stage.

Training in vocational and technical skills for adults is another key component to improve the quality of life for many workers. Increased competition not only raises the standard of living for the individual, but for their family and community as well.  I will implement policies that make obtaining these much-needed skills possible for more people than ever.

Prosperity for All

I want to ensure the American Dream is alive and well for everyone.  I believe that every citizen should be able to reap the benefits of their hard work and creative energies.

Keeping the government contained and taxes low increases your ability to achieve your own American Dream. Your money belongs to you, not Lansing politicians and bureaucrats.

Michigan has a proud tradition of freedom and prosperity. Michigan is the birthplace of innovation and the manufacturing technologies that first created the Middle Class. Private businesses made Michigan an economic powerhouse, not big government.

To achieve lasting prosperity we must preserve your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

We have just experienced the largest job swing in Michigan history.  In a matter of months, we went from achieving record employment rates to the dreaded opposite– record unemployment.  While protecting the safety of the vulnerable, continuing to fuel our economic engine will be my top priority. The American Dream is sustained by our ability to contribute to our economy and provide for our families. A family cannot function without an income. I will fight for every worker and every job, and oppose policies that increase bureaucracy and hinder economic growth.

It's time to put Michigan back to work.

Roads and Infrastructure

Recently, Michigan's infrastructure was graded a D+ and our roads were graded a D-.

Michigan has the worst roads in the country, but at the same time has the 5th highest tax on gasoline. The Governor’s idea of a pocketbook-crippling 45¢ per-gallon tax increase has yet to fix a single road.  It is time for Lansing to deliver the first class roads we have been paying for all along.

In addition, we must be vigilant and work to upgrade our water infrastructure.  As a father of three, I am concerned about our local infrastructure. We need clean water to protect life here in Michigan. We can never, ever let a Flint situation happen again.
